AREAS OF ADVOCACY PRACTICELeslie has appeared as sole junior Counsel in a variety of complex cases, including financial crimes, manslaughter, armed robbery and drug importation cases. He is qualified to appear in all domestic criminal courts at all levels, and before the ICTY and Special Court for Sierra Leone. OTHER ACTIVITIESLeslie engages in a variety of other activities including continuing to act as a Duty Solicitor in Courts and Police Stations. He is an experienced consultant trainer having trained numerous organisations including Customs, SFO and various police forces as well as numerous Regulators including the Standards Board for England and OFGEM in Advanced Investigative Practice for Bond Solon Ltd. Leslie continues to teach Criminal and Public Law for the Open University which he has done for several years and also now lectures for both the College of Law and Central Law Training. He also sits part-time as a Road User Charging Adjudicator and is Vice-Chairman of South Essex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. Leslie is Honorary Secretary of Solicitors Association of Higher Court Advocates and regularly leads Higher rights advocacy training sessions for the organisation, aimed at civil and criminal practitioners.
