AREAS OF ADVOCACY PRACTICE

Karen Brookes was admitted as a Solicitor in 1998 and achieved her higher rights in 2007.  Karen was previously a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives and lectured at Westminster College and London School of Law on the ILEx course for 7 years.

Karen has specialised in criminal litigation since becoming a solicitor and covers all aspects of crimes from Road Traffic offences through to child pornography and historic rape/sexual assaults.  In 2009 Karen successfully represented a man extradited from New Zealand for a number of historic rapes and sexual assaults against his step granddaughter. 

Karen is a member of SAHCA, LCCSA, and the West London Law Society.  Karen also trains on solicitor’s ethics to Barrister’s of the Inner Temple on their mandatory advocacy training programme.  Away from the law Karen sits as a committee officer for Alpha Preparatory School’s Parent Association.
