AREAS OF PRACTICEKevin Light was admitted as a solicitor in 1989 and over the last 17 years has dealt with numerous serious and complex cases including murder, large scale drug importations, serious sexual offences and serious fraud cases. He has specialised in dealing with fraud cases and is a serious fraud panel supervisor. He has had conduct as solicitor of two successful appeals to the House of Lords those cases being the leading case of R v Preddy [1996] AC 815 and more recently the case of R v Saik 2006 UKHL 18. In 2008/9 Kevin was instructed as sole advocate in fraud cases, evasion of duty, false identification, violence and drugs cases, and appeared successfully in the Court of Appeal. He is currently instructed in a VHCC serious fraud case arising out of evasion of petrol duty.
