AREAS OF PRACTICERod Hayler was admitted as a solicitor in 2001 and became a Solicitor-Advocate (Higher Courts Criminal Proceedings) in 2007. Rod specialises in Criminal Litigation and has worked on a number of high profile cases including murder, fraud and terrorism. He regularly acts as duty solicitor in both the courts and police station where he deals with the full spectrum of criminal defence work. During 2008 and 2009 Rod has appeared regularly in the Crown Court dealing with drug importation and immigration offences. Rod has also been instructed as sole advocate in the Crown Court in cases of violence, drug possession and breach of trust dishonesty offences.
