AREAS OF ADVOCACY PRACTICEFlora Page practices exclusively as an advocate in all areas of criminal law, and has a particular interest in fraud. She was instructed as sole junior or led junior advocate in over fifty cases during 2008/9, notably in a series of complex cases including tax credits fraud, terrorism, prison disorder, drugs supply, serious violence and armed robbery. BACKGROUNDFlora Page qualified in 1998 with Clifford Chance, moved to criminal practice in 1999 and attained higher rights of audience in 2002. Since then she has practised solely as an advocate. She has also worked at the Law Commission where she helped draft the Fraud Report (Law Com No. 276), which led to the implementation of the Fraud Act 2006. OTHER ACTIVITIESFlora is a Senior Lecturer for the College of Law, where she teaches criminal law, evidence and advocacy to aspirant barristers on the weekend teaching programme. She is accredited to teach advocacy by the Bar Council’s Advocacy Training Council. She will run tailor-made in-house advocacy courses for solicitor advocates on request. She is a member of the committee of the Solicitors Association of Higher Court Advocates.
