AREAS OF PRACTICE

After graduating from University College, London, Lynton worked for Simons Muirhead and Burton in the area of white-collar fraud; ranging from the defence of company directors accused of share-ramping to conspiracies to obtain mortgages by deception. Lynton has represented all types of defendants, ranging from the homeless drug addict to the multi-million-pound importer of cocaine. 

RECENT CASES

In the course of 2007/8 Lynton has been instructed as sole or junior advocate in:

· Multi-handed conspiracy to supply class A drugs

· Rape case involving two defence experts

· S.18 GBH,

· £1.5 million conspiracy to defraud shareholders (VHCC);

· and a range of other offences as sole junior counsel.

Lynton is currently representing the main suspect in the case arising from Operation Rize, a high level investigation into money laundering arising out of the use of safety deposit box facilities.

OTHER ACTIVITIES

Lynton is a Board Member of the Black Solicitors’ Network and has made Parliamentary submissions on their behalf.

Away from advocacy, Lynton set up the Challenge Chess Club to assist in helping inner-city children stretch their horizons to try to attain their dreams. Lynton is also a keen club-level tennis player and a bad snowboarder.
